The Cat and The Ipad - Video

Barely on the market for merely days, Apple's ipads are creating unexpected phenomenons with house cats of all things. Because the ipads can go just about anywhere, your favorite kitty cat can get very up close and personal.

Depending upon the application running on the ipad some ol' puddy tats are expressing some fun reactions. Here is a video that went viral in two days with 1.5 million views already. Check it out:



Here is a thought. What if some clever programmer came up with an ipad app just to entertain cats?  Sell a million or so apps at $1-$2 per, and your retirement program is fully funded.

On another subject, a close friend of mine, who had four blogs that were all hosted by Blogger/Google, recently found all four blogs deleted by Google for no apparent reason. One day the blogs were there and the next day they were not.

When he tried to contact Google about the deletion, he was directed to a static web page that stated that the fine print in Blogger/Google's Term of Use (TOU) states that Google may delete your blog at any time for any reason.

That was the only explanation he received, and Google would not answer his email requesting more information. To my knowledge his blogs were not in violation of any of Google's TOU.

They were just gone and he was totally stonewalled by Google about the reason. Obviously, Google does not seem to care much about public relations.

That is the reason I have not been posting lately. It takes a great deal of effort to set up your blog, fine tune it to look the way you want and to post your posts. When a giant corporation like Google says they can take it all away from with one click of the delete button, you sort of lose interest in posting.

Alcoholic Monkeys in the Caribbean - Video

A friend of mine alerted me to this story on YouTube, and since he does not have a blog I decided to blog it for him. Imagine you are vacationing at a quiet little Caribbean getaway, lazing along side the pool with nary a care in the world.

Your waitress arrives toting a pina colada, a long island iced tea, or some similar vacation style cocktail featuring those tiny umbrellas with an excessively ample measure of booze.

Suddenly, a small alcoholic vervet monkey appears out of nowhere, and, after absconding with your drink, he disappears even faster than he appeared.

It seems that alcoholic monkeys are worse than their human counterparts.

This is either one tough baby chick or else one wimpy monitor lizard. The not too bright lizard tries to make breakfast out of this baby chick with ridiculous results.

The chick gives a whole new meaning to over easy, because this is one lil' chick who isn't a pushover for anyone. And that includes this lizard that only gives a half-hearted attempt at dining on chicken today.



I think that lizard will starve if that is the best it can do at securing himself a meal.

The Smartest Monkey You Will Ever See

The monkey credited as being the world's smartest is really an orangutan, which is close enough to monkey for us. The only parts of the world where orangutans still live naturally in the wild are the forests of the Southeast Asian islands of Sumatra and Borneo,* which indicates that they are truly an endangered species.

Our orange little buddy was clever enough to short wire the electric fence keeping him inside his compound. How the fellow figured out how to short wire an electrical circuit is anybody's guess, but it is quite impressive that he did.

He also was smart enough to build up a mound of debris to assist in his escape. Take a look at our clever little monkey:

Bull in an Irish Supervalu

A young bull somehow managed to escape from nearby stockyards in Ballinrobe, County Mayo, Ireland, recently. He must have missed his family and tried looking for them in the meat department of the local Supervalu store.

The lost bovine may very well have been staring his long lost uncle right in the rump roast, but apparently did not recognize his relation in his current state. Have a look at the action for yourself:



That reporter certainly has a flair for using puns, but she probably would have a different attitude if she were the one looking for lost relations in the local deli.

Ain't Nothing More Fun Than Kids and Pets - Videos

I Want it Now!

Kids are often a barrel of laughs, especially if they are your kids. When they are very young, they are incredibly cute, but they often get into the most ridiculous mischief.

That is what happened here. A little girl saw some toys she wanted, so she decided to go after them regardless of the consequences. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.

This video has been seen in a few places even though it is not that old. Even David Letterman has had it on his show. So, if you have already seen it, ah well.

Also, some of our vids are hosted by Wat, which can be a little slow to load even on a high speed connection, so please be patient. It will load eventually.

We do not know what this little girl will do for a living when she grows up, but you can be sure that she will excel at it. She does not understand the concept "it cannot be done."

And how about that mother? Obviously, this little girl has done this sort of thing before. Most mothers would be freaking out, but this one takes it all in stride. Just another day in the life.

Funny Kitty is a Peanut Thief

This is one smart kitty cat. On a scale of 1 - 10, this cat rates an eleven. I personally have never seen a cat that could do what this kitty does. Naturally, the cat uses its highly advanced intellect for illicit purposes--like stealing peanuts.



Have you ever seen a cat unscrew the cap off of a bottle? I haven't. Incredible little kitty. Hopefully, someone can train this kitty to use its intellect for good rather than evil. Think of the possibilities--like a nomination for Vice President in 2012. The sky is the limit.

Rocky, the Drunken Squirrel

I hope that this squirrel isn't Rocky, the flying squirrel, because this guy has a problem. I would hate to think that Rocky is an alcoholic. This squirrel has had way to much to drink and it's only the middle of the day yet.

Young Rocky's video was all over the Internet about a year ago, but it was only viewed by about 3 million folks. That leaves several billion who haven't seen it, so I don't feel guilty about the rerun. Let's give it a look.



There is no doubt about it. We need to perform an intervention and get young Rocky here into a 12 step program. What an example he is setting for the younger generation.

Actually, it's more likely that this guy is a stunt squirrel. Did you notice that whenever he failed to climb the tree, he would hang on by one rear paw. This guy is just an actor; he's not really drunk. I should have known better.

I wonder how much a stunt squirrel gets paid for a gig like this?

If you thought you saw a putty tat, you did see a putty tat. I used to do a lot more animal videos and somehow got away from it. But it wasn't deliberate, so let's try a few more.

These kitties are smart, resourceful, clever, and unpredictable. In the first video we look in on one very resourceful kitty, who knows how to get what she wants. Of course, we end up with a funny result. This is one thirsty little kitty cat. Let's see how she quenches her thirst:

Redneck Industrialists - Videos

Redneck Industrialists. Boy that sounds like a mouthful, but we are referring to our friendly redneck crane operators who usually operate their cranes in industrial locations, hence the term industrialist.

To my knowledge, you do not need a license to operate a crane, but they are devilishly difficult pieces of machinery to operate correctly. That thankfully results in many botched jobs by crane operators, which is to our advantage because many of the crane operator bloopers have been caught on film, and we get to howl at their mistakes here.

We begin with a scene from a movie that involves, what else, a crane.

If you have never seen a movie from 1988 entitled A Fish Called Wanda, run (don't walk) down to the neighborhood video store and rent it immediately! Do not wait on the chance that someone else in your neighborhood will see this post and beat you to the video store. You absolutely must see this movie right away because it is that funny!

The film features John Cleese, Kevin Kline, Jamie Lee Curtis and Michael Palin and it is no exaggeration when I tell you it is absolutely hilarious. Rent it when you have some extra time because you will want to watch it twice.

Kevin Kline won an Oscar for best supporting actor, but John Cleese and Michael Palin should also have won Oscars. Maybe Jamie Lee should have won one too, but she played a sexy crook. Since she is naturally sexy, she really did not have to act as much as the others did.

I have had a thing for Jamie Lee since I was old enough to tell the difference between men and women, so I am a little biased here. Since we all know that gratuitous sex and violence sells in this day and age, I have added a photo of Jamie Lee back when she was a bit younger.

The photo fulfills our quota of gratuitous sex for this post, plus there is plenty of violence, so to speak, in the videos.


All of the other actors in the film, writers (John Cleese and Charles Crichton) and the director (also Charles Crichton) won other awards for the movie and deservedly so. It is the remarkable cast that makes this movie so funny.

If you intend to rent the movie, skip past the first video now to the second video so that we won't spoil any of the film for you.

The following video is a scene from the movie in which a criminal, Ken (Michael Palin), is trying to kill an elderly woman and make it look like an accident. He screwed up his first two attempts and killed two of the lady's dogs instead. Ken is an animal lover so it bothered him enormously when he killed the first two dogs. Killing people however comes second nature to him.

The scene begins as Ken is making his third attempt to kill the little old lady, and he is using a crane to do it. This scene is what prompted me to search for funny videos using cranes.

As you will see in the other vids, cranes naturally lend themselves to funny situations.

Our next video involves a crane and a port-a-potty, or modern day outhouse. I, for one, cannot imagine what could possibly be funny about the combination of those two.

The Crane vs The Outhouse or Let's Embarrass the Boss:



Well, all I can say is Oh Crap! And I thought that I was having a bad day. Hopefully, for the crane operator's sake, it was his last day on the job. Because if it wasn't before it is now.

You noticed, I hope, that the occupant of our port-a-potty is a white collar type. What do you want to bet that the beneficiary (translation = victim) of our outhouse humor is the boss.

The crane operator saw the opportunity and he went for it. If you are going to get fired, this is the way to go out. Payback is so sweet, is it not? Haven't we all had at least one boss that we wish we could have done that to?

The happy ending here would be to convince the old man that it truly was an accident and to keep your job.

"Boss, I am so sorry. I don't know how that happened. The crane controls should be checked out. I didn't mean to do it! etc., etc."

If you were a good enough actor, you would get completely reinstated to your old position as crane operator. Then you could lie in wait to do it all over again.

You know, I have to admit that I really like that one. After watching it several times, I still laugh every time I see it.

Mechanical contractors often use cranes, but sometimes they use levers and fulcrums when using a crane just isn't feasible. Here are a couple of installation contractors that remind me very much of Laurel and Hardy.

Installation Blues:



Yep! Just like Laurel and Hardy. But as funny as that video is, there are several things that just aren't right about it. What contractor will move a spindle that large by manual labor anymore? Because of unions, contractors use heavy lifting equipment for any work that big.

Why didn't they take the cable off of the spindle and move it up via the elevator? And notice the black mat right where the spindle goes through the "window." That spot is clearly where a door would normally be.

Unfortunately, this one is fake, but it's a good fake and it's funny. So we will let it ride.

In the next one you have to notice the dog, which is a Pomeranian, I think. It is just like the dog in the clip from A Fish Called Wanda. And nope! That's no coincidence.

I knew someone with a Pomeranian when I was young, and that blasted dog would bark and bite constantly. I cannot count how many times that dog bit me. So any time a Pomeranian gets it, my heart dances an Irish jig.

That's another reason to like A Fish Called Wanda. Sorry animal lovers. Dogs? I love them, but Pomeranians? No Thanks.

Didn't you just love it when the crane operator ran away? Yes, he is in big trouble. If they ever try to enact a law requiring crane operators to be licensed, be sure to oppose it because we need the videos. That car was totally squashed, wasn't it? That Man Ain't No Marlon Brando - Beware the Penguins!

Friends, I am here today to warn you of an impending disaster that is of such a perilous nature that no similar calamity has ever before seen the light of day. I am talking about a man-made catastrophe so dire and so dastardly that I shudder even to think of the pernicious consequences should this misdeed ever come to pass.


Folks, if you please, cast your gaze upon the first photograph in today’s post. Compare that, please, to the second photo. At first glance you might be fooled into thinking that the two photos are one and the same.


The photos are allegedly taken from a scene in the movie, The Godfather. In the background, you will notice one Sonny Corleone, played by actor James Caan. To the left is Bonasera, played by Salvatore Corsitto. To the right is supposed to be Vito Corleone, played by the great Marlon Brando.

However, the man in the first photo is no Marlon Brando!

Our third photo is a very short video of the same exact scene in the movie. Notice how the godfather’s gestures are the same classic moves that you see throughout the movie. That is Marlon Brando in the short film clip; of that, there is no doubt.

The man masquerading as Marlon Brando in the first photo is, in reality, a penguin! This woeful bird has infiltrated the ranks of Hollywood’s famous actors. And he is not alone.

Peruse, if you will, the fourth photograph and you will find one Penguin from the movie, Batman Returns. The Penguin in this film is played by actor Danny DeVito. Did you catch the similarity in names? Danny DeVito and Vito Corleone? That similarity is no coincidence.

Now compare the next photo, which juxtaposes the profiles of the Penguin from Batman Returns and the imposter Marlon Brando in the first photo. Notice the similarities?

Clearly, the actor in the first photo is also a penguin.

Ladies and gentlemen, the penguins are infiltrating the Hollywood movie industry at an alarming rate.

But, why you ask. Why would the penguins want to sneak into the film industry? What could be their motive?

To learn the answer to that, you must watch the short video. This video is a previously unreleased film taken from one of the United States’ secret spy satellites that fly high overhead, constantly circling the globe. These satellites are America’s watch dogs in the sky, and until now, this film has been classified “Top Secret.”.

The US Department of Homeland Security has declassified and released this short film to warn the American public of an imminent threat against our way of life. Please watch the short video now.




The video exposes an enormous gathering of Antarctic penguins in a joyous celebration of some sort. Now that you have seen the video, you know. The penguins are really Al Qaeda in disguise.

Al Qaeda has infiltrated the penguins, who have in turn penetrated the movie industry. The motive is obvious. Al Qaeda wants to steal the minds of America’s children by saturating the film industry with their saboteurs.

They have chosen penguins because penguins are so cute.

But, the last photo shows the true character of Al Qaeda in action. Clearly, their character is so anti-social that they must constantly fight--even among themselves, if that is the only adversary that they have to fight.

In the same manner that Al Qaeda steals the minds of Islamic youth throughout the madrasas of the Middle East in hopes of turning innocent children into suicide bombers, Al Qaeda now intends to brainwash America’s children.

By surreptitiously embedding their fanatical beliefs into the minds of America’s children through films, Al Qaeda aspires to turn our own children against us.

Al Qaeda believes that they can eventually take over America by stealing the minds of our youth at an early age. It is a menacing plot of the most drastic proportions.

We must stop this potentially devastating plan by protecting our children at all costs.

My friends, the time for action has come. We must not pause, and we must not falter because the fate of our children hangs in the balance.

Praise the Lord, pass the ammunition and beware of the penguins!

Redneck Window Washers

Our first image portrays true dedication to keeping a neat and clean house, however, I would be scared to death if that were my mum out there on that ledge. How should one react to discovering that his mum exhibits behavior as redneck as venturing out onto narrow ledges above the hustle, bustle and din of the city anyway?

Hey Seamus, I saw your mom out on the window ledge the other day. Is she suicidal or what?

No, she’s just highly compulsive about cleanliness, that’s all.

Most of us appreciate a clean window, but our appreciation rarely extends to the window washer. I would hope, however, that the sight of a gray-haired, little old lady in her housecoat on an 18 inch wide ledge washing windows would at least elicit some respect for her devotion to keeping her world as transparent as possible.


Our second window washer also displays a single minded enthusiasm for her work that one rarely encounters any more. Most workers are limited to the use of merely two hands to finish their chores, but this resourceful lass appears to have learned how to keep herself abreast, so to speak, of any developments she may encounter.

Mark down one more reason to embrace breast augmentation surgery because wearing a D cup is clearly an advantage for anyone contemplating tackling this method of window cleaning.

Our third window washer must certainly have expected to draw a crowd, considering that she failed to properly dress for the occasion.

The locale is most probably Europe or South America because this type of attire will generally get you busted in the US. Europeans are much more tolerant toward such exposure than Americans.

Which brings up the subject of our video, where again exposure, or perhaps how much is too much, is the issue. The voyeurs in the video most probably feel there is no such thing as too much exposure.

Funny Photos - Wrong Place and Time Bloopers

The theme today is being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the above feline has most definitely hit both wrongs directly on the nose. This is either one remarkably brave cat, one very stupid one, or one very unlucky one.

Our location is probably an obedience school where these pups’ ability to obey their masters’ commands regardless of the temptation to do otherwise is being tested. If only one of those German shepherds loses it, however, they will all lose it, and our poor little kitty is toast.

Yes, Hans, you did see a puddy tat. The begging question is: can you ignore it? Several of the Fidos have that look in their eye, as in “Hey, there’s dinner. Let‘s eat.”

The real question here is how many cats do they lose when the dogs’ obedience is being put to the test? Because this kitty will most certainly need all nine of its lives.



Okay, perhaps the most dangerous part of skydiving is not necessarily whether or not the chute opens.

If this skydiving enthusiast survives this encounter with nature, will he retain his enthusiasm about jumping again? This may be his supreme test about whether he continues to participate in the sport he loves.

I know what you are thinking. It’s a Photoshop moment. If it is, then it is a very good one. Notice the parachutist’s reflection in the water. It is a much less defined reflection and is right where it should be.

This photo looks plenty real to me, and I do not believe that those crocs are going through obedience school training either.

That leaves pilot error or else we have one very gutsy skydiver. Regardless, you could not pay me enough to be in this guy’s chutes right now.

The only way our man can get out of this situation is if someone is standing behind the scenes with a boat or air lift ready to rescue our danger junkie at the last moment.

The term “freak accident” may be a euphemism here. This is just plain weird. The death of Od is truly quite odd. I think everyone wanted to say that so I just got it out of the way.

My question is “Did Od have to die.” Why couldn’t they have immediately shot Hilda the hippo and gutted her? Od would have been in her belly only a couple of minutes if they had acted right away.

It is because Hilda was probably worth more to the circus than Od was. Once again, money is the determining factor about who lives and who dies.

Alcoholic Elephants on the Rampage

This Sri Lankan elephant definitely appears to be ticked, as you can plainly see as he takes out his anger on this mini-bus. Sadly, elephants on the rampage like this are becoming a rather common phenomenon in Asia.

The situation plays something like this: Man encroaches on traditional pachyderm territory, so the elephants move further into the jungle to avoid contact with man. Well, you can hardly blame them for that, now can you?

The problem is that man has been encroaching on an ever increasing basis, and the elephants have fewer and fewer viable areas to retreat to.

But what has been setting the elephants off on rampages like the one in the following video is a combination of dwindling food supplies and plentiful rice beer. Farmers make huge batches of rice beer for personal consumption and for sale. As elephants venture into a village in search of food, they may happen upon a farmer’s rice beer still.

The elephants end up with too much of a good thing after chugging down the home brewed beer. Then, like some homo sapiens, they get mean and ornery once they are drunk. The result is what you see in the photo and the video.



Villagers all over Asia are concerned about the problem and have even tried to bring in outside animal experts to help them address the issue.

One of the experts has been Paris Hilton, who has not hesitated to express her opinion on the matter. To clarify matters for you, Paris knows nothing about elephants, but she does know quite a lot about imbibing to excess and is definitely an expert on that subject.

The media have been anxiously awaiting what remarkable words of wisdom Paris will utter to help all of Asia solve this tricky dilemma. So, Paris, what do we do with these alcoholic elephants?

“We need to stop making alcohol available to them,” said the 26-year-old starlet.

Wow! That is so simple it is profound. Obviously, no one else ever thought of that! Of course, it may take a while to locate a bouncer who is able to eighty six one of these husky fellas from any drinking establishment, let alone a homemade still. From a more practical standpoint, what really needs to happen is to get those beer swigging pachyderms into rehab. Now this is a subject that Paris knows well. Paris, LL and BS must convince the brutes that they owe it to society to become positive influences for social change.

Our three musketeers could set up an academy for wayward elephants in Asia in a manner similar to what Oprah Winfrey has done for gifted young girls in South Africa. This modern day celebrity version of Larry, Moe and Curly could get the elephants on a 12-step program that would revolutionize Asian jungle law.

No more elephant rampages in the night and no more swilling beer till all hours. The problem is almost solved already. And to think we owe all of this progress on the issue to our dear Paris.

When we first saw her Internet porn video way back when, we just knew that girl was meant for greatness.
