The Cat and The Ipad - Video

Barely on the market for merely days, Apple's ipads are creating unexpected phenomenons with house cats of all things. Because the ipads can go just about anywhere, your favorite kitty cat can get very up close and personal.

Depending upon the application running on the ipad some ol' puddy tats are expressing some fun reactions. Here is a video that went viral in two days with 1.5 million views already. Check it out:

Here is a thought. What if some clever programmer came up with an ipad app just to entertain cats?  Sell a million or so apps at $1-$2 per, and your retirement program is fully funded.

On another subject, a close friend of mine, who had four blogs that were all hosted by Blogger/Google, recently found all four blogs deleted by Google for no apparent reason. One day the blogs were there and the next day they were not.

When he tried to contact Google about the deletion, he was directed to a static web page that stated that the fine print in Blogger/Google's Term of Use (TOU) states that Google may delete your blog at any time for any reason.

That was the only explanation he received, and Google would not answer his email requesting more information. To my knowledge his blogs were not in violation of any of Google's TOU.

They were just gone and he was totally stonewalled by Google about the reason. Obviously, Google does not seem to care much about public relations.

That is the reason I have not been posting lately. It takes a great deal of effort to set up your blog, fine tune it to look the way you want and to post your posts. When a giant corporation like Google says they can take it all away from with one click of the delete button, you sort of lose interest in posting.

If you have any blogs, be sure you back them up frequently. In addition to back ups on my hard drive, I also have posted a copy of all my blogs at McCafferty Himself.

Funny Kitty is a Peanut Thief

This is one smart kitty cat. On a scale of 1 - 10, this cat rates an eleven. I personally have never seen a cat that could do what this kitty does. Naturally, the cat uses its highly advanced intellect for illicit purposes--like stealing peanuts.

Have you ever seen a cat unscrew the cap off of a bottle? I haven't. Incredible little kitty. Hopefully, someone can train this kitty to use its intellect for good rather than evil. Think of the possibilities--like a nomination for Vice President in 2012. The sky is the limit.

Curiosity Didn't Kill This Cat

If curiosity actually killed the cat, then this tabby should be dead. Actually, this has to be the funniest cat on the Internet, and I don't mean cat as in cool cat. I mean kitty cat.

The author of this video very cleverly employed sound effects to mystify the cat with absolutely hilarious consequences.

For awhile there I thought that the cat might begin to tap out a rhythm like a drummer would. Take a look at this clever video:

Now will you admit that the cat was amusing? I certainly hope so.

I taut I taw a putty tat

If you thought you saw a putty tat, you did see a putty tat. I used to do a lot more animal videos and somehow got away from it. But it wasn't deliberate, so let's try a few more.

These kitties are smart, resourceful, clever, and unpredictable. In the first video we look in on one very resourceful kitty, who knows how to get what she wants. Of course, we end up with a funny result. This is one thirsty little kitty cat. Let's see how she quenches her thirst:

You will have to admit that we have one smart little kitty here. She was not short changed when they handed out the brains in her family.

*****

Despite being bigger than his opponent, our next feline is a little on the cautious side and wants to make certain that he doesn't get into something he can't handle. So he sort of feels his way into a disagreement. Once he is sure, he...well, see for yourself:

I think it did not turn out quite the way he expected despite all of his calculations prior to making his move. That's life as a cat, kiddo.

*****

Most cats hate the water, but this kitty proves that the term "most cats" does not mean all cats. This one gets an "A" for the cuteness factor, so get ready to get cuted out.

Was I right? Cute, huh?

Proof Irish Hate Englishmen, Shocking Antarctic Weather and the Cat that Loves a Spanking

Many of the Irish really do hate the English, and this video is living proof. The pilot is Irish and the journalist is English, from the BBC.

The language is a little raw, so you have been warned.

Reading about how cold it gets in Antarctica does not do justice to the way conditions really are way down south. So, here is an up-close look at Antarctic weather.

I live in Minnesota, which is probably the second coldest state in the US after Alaska, and this video scares me too even though I have experienced -34 degrees Fahrenheit (about -37 degrees Celsius) (actual temperature, not wind chill).

I feel colder just watching the vid. Does anyone have an extra blanket?

This kitty just loves a spanking. I guess that makes this video puddy tat S&M?

Funny Photos - Wrong Place and Time Bloopers

The theme today is being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the above feline has most definitely hit both wrongs directly on the nose. This is either one remarkably brave cat, one very stupid one, or one very unlucky one.

Our location is probably an obedience school where these pups’ ability to obey their masters’ commands regardless of the temptation to do otherwise is being tested. If only one of those German shepherds loses it, however, they will all lose it, and our poor little kitty is toast.

Yes, Hans, you did see a puddy tat. The begging question is: can you ignore it? Several of the Fidos have that look in their eye, as in “Hey, there’s dinner. Let‘s eat.”

The real question here is how many cats do they lose when the dogs’ obedience is being put to the test? Because this kitty will most certainly need all nine of its lives.

Okay, perhaps the most dangerous part of skydiving is not necessarily whether or not the chute opens.

If this skydiving enthusiast survives this encounter with nature, will he retain his enthusiasm about jumping again? This may be his supreme test about whether he continues to participate in the sport he loves.

I know what you are thinking. It’s a Photoshop moment. If it is, then it is a very good one. Notice the parachutist’s reflection in the water. It is a much less defined reflection and is right where it should be.

This photo looks plenty real to me, and I do not believe that those crocs are going through obedience school training either.

That leaves pilot error or else we have one very gutsy skydiver. Regardless, you could not pay me enough to be in this guy’s chutes right now.

The only way our man can get out of this situation is if someone is standing behind the scenes with a boat or air lift ready to rescue our danger junkie at the last moment.

*****

The term “freak accident” may be a euphemism here. This is just plain weird. The death of Od is truly quite odd. I think everyone wanted to say that so I just got it out of the way.

Have you ever swallowed a gnat on a humid summer evening? This situation is something like that, except on a much grander scale.

My question is “Did Od have to die.” Why couldn’t they have immediately shot Hilda the hippo and gutted her? Od would have been in her belly only a couple of minutes if they had acted right away.

It is because Hilda was probably worth more to the circus than Od was. Once again, money is the determining factor about who lives and who dies.

The following video contains animal bloopers of a far less dire nature.

Kids in Funny Photos

Now this is one talented lad.

Young man, ten years from now, the ladies will not be able to keep their hands off of you. Actually, make that six years. Kids start younger these days.

Actually, this young boy is sitting on a fountain and diverting its flow. Did the photo fool you?

*****

Man overboa…wait. It’s kitty overboard!

I am guessing that none of the occupants of this raft bargained for this type of ride-especially the cat. The young lady in the middle looks like she will not be far behind the feline, whose departing thoughts were probably, “you dropped the poop.”

For those not in the know, “you dropped the poop” is a phrase that seems to be taking over the Internet. It means that you messed up, or “oh, sh…t .”

*****

“Mom, is that your butt?”

This kid is in for a heck of a letdown in ten or twelve years. After having been exposed to a butt like this in his youth, his level of expectations once he is a teenager is bound to be completely unrealistic .

If this kid ends up wanting a girl just like the girl that married dear old dad, he will probably be going to wait a long time. Cause there ain’t that many out there like that.

If you liked these funny photos, we have more just like these. Give them a try.

Dog Eared Monkey Business and Cat Nap

Talk about strange bedfellows. These two unlikely pals reside in Goangdong Province, China, and have been virtually inseparable since the pigeon pretty much adopted the macaque monkey when he was only 12 weeks old. It seems that the macaque was abandoned by his mum, who preferred to party the night away rather than care for her babies. (Are you paying attention Britney?)

After he was abandoned, the monkey was near death. He was taken to an animal hospital and nursed back to physical health. However, from an emotional standpoint, he had little spirit, was clearly depressed and displayed little love for life.

Then the pigeon took the monkey under its wing, showing him the kind of love and affection that is ordinarily expressed only from a devoted parent to its offspring. The result is the loving relationship that clearly shines through in this photo.

Don’t you just love a happy ending?

Of course, it is rumored that the abandoning mother, who reportedly hates all things that end well, has hired an attorney and is now seeking to regain custody of her baby.

There is a rather familiar ring to this story, isn’t there? I wonder if the pigeon’s name is Kevin?

The dog eared photo needs little explanation. Looks like another tough guy throwing her weight around. That’s right! The tough looking German is a female.

Maybe that will teach you not to stereotype.

Hey! That looks like me on a Sunday afternoon.

Kitty Cat Video Bloopers

Amazing kitty cat video bloopers. Cats can be very cute and funny at the same time, and these cats were caught in the act of being both. If you have ever owned a cat, you know that they can do some very strange things. Here are some real life examples caught on film.

Feline Mother-in-law

As Tom and Mary go out for the evening, they put their cat out.

When their taxicab arrives and the couple exit the house, the cat sneaks back in.

As Tom returns inside the house to chase the cat back out, Mary is concerned about the taxi driver knowing that the house will be empty. So she explains to the driver, "My husband just went back inside to say goodbye to his mother-in-law."

After several minutes, an exhausted Tom climbs into the back of the taxi saying, "I am sorry I took so long, but the stupid idiot was hiding under the bed. I had to poke her with a coat hanger several times before I could get her to come out!"
