Unfortunately, in a fit of "be kind to your music teacher and hope you'll get a good grade in mixed chorus", I gave him, Mr. Gil Smith, the music. Hard to tell what became of it in all those many years. I was under the impression it might have been a part of a stage production of some sort.<BR/>khinkleAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5923957078312851653.post-31101944795627345622007-10-02T01:47:00.000-05:002007-10-02T01:47:00.000-05:00Well, I guess that is enough documentation to prov...Well, I guess that is enough documentation to prove it started as a song.McCafferty Himselfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07992671945097621872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5923957078312851653.post-4640804527901950182007-10-01T17:48:00.000-05:002007-10-01T17:48:00.000-05:00My mom always sung this to me as a song...My mom always sung this to me as a song...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5923957078312851653.post-58425373659176904282007-04-25T16:31:00.000-05:002007-04-25T16:31:00.000-05:00Well, that's news to me. The author used poetic license when he or she called it a song. I found it many years ago in a Minnesota magazine. It was apparently written by one of the writers for public radio's "Prairie Home Companion."McCafferty Himselfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07992671945097621872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5923957078312851653.post-70482982479168273702007-04-24T15:54:00.000-05:002007-04-24T15:54:00.000-05:00I am looking for the music to this song....any ide...I am looking for the music to this song....any ideas? jenockson@marykay.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
